About Us

Under Construction

A complete overhaul of the library's webpage began in the summer of 2023, and remains ongoing.  As sections are updated, this User Guide will be updated to reflect the changes.

Basic Homepage Layout

The new homepage looks like this:

The Search Box is in roughly the same location as originally, though it is now more prominent and fills the width of the screen.

LibChat has been moved into a floating button on the lower right, and is now accessible from every page.

Links to other items have now been moved into the new Navigation Bar (which links to the faculty and student resources pages, the archives, our new room reservation system, and this User Guide [part of the "About Us" button]). Below the search bar (not visible in the image above) are links to our databases, guides/tutorials, and the full library hours.

The most obvious new feature is the News and Events Carousel, which will feature clickable banners providing direct links to more information about library events and blog posts.

Beyond the Front Page

At present, the Faculty/Staff and Student Resources pages have also been restructured.  Virtually all other pages remain at their original locations and contain their original content.  The main and sub landing pages - and, thus, the way those other pages are accessed - are the primary changes at this point.

There have been three other significant additions / alterations so far:

  1. The chat feature now floats in the lower right corner of every page.
  2. The ability to reserve the use of library space via an online booking system has been added
  3. blog has been added to centralize news and other announcements

All are live now and functional.
