Printing in Blount Library

image of library print stationAverett students have access to printers at both Blount Library and the Galesi Student Success Center.  The library's printing station is to the left of the circulation desk on the main floor (exactly where the wēpa print station was located in prior years).

Student and staff printing costs are covered by student fees; no payment is collected at the time of printing.  For all other patrons, the library charges 10 cents per page for black and white printing.  For these patrons, we can unfortunately only accept cash.

Instructions for using the print station are conveniently placed nearby, but are also summarized here for easy reference:

  • Login to the print station using the generic login name and password provided.
  • Locate and open your file:
    • If the file is on a flash drive: insert the flash drive into the computer's USB slot (on the right-hand side of the machine), locate the file, and open it with the relevant program.
    • If your file is in cloud storage, your email account, etc: Login to the relevant storage system, and open the file with the relevant program.
  • Go through the traditional steps to print in the relevant program (Word, Adobe, etc.):
    • Double check to be sure that the printer is set to "SHARP BP-50C26"
    • Each session has a maximum print allowance.  (If you need to print more than the one-time print allowance, log out and log back in again.)
  • Once the file has been sent to the printer, activate the printer itself:
    • Enter user code "01859"
    • If the printer doesn't start automatically, check for a dialogue box on the printer and confirm that you want to print the received file now.

When finished printing, remember to:

  • Log out of your Okta dashboard, if you logged into it on the printing pc
  • Retrieve your flash drive if you used one
