A quick reference and basic tutorial for library research at Averett

Course Reserves at Blount Library

Professors sometimes place required readings and media on Course Reserves so that all members of your class will have an opportunity to view them.

Ask for print materials and media at the Information Desk.

If your professor has referred sources for electronic library reserves (e-reserves), this will be noted in your syllabus and you will have a password to access those readings from a library course guide at discover.averett.edu.

Professors determine the loan periods for Reserve items, which vary from one hour to seven days. Short loan periods generally require that you use the material in the library building.

Please handle Reserve items with care and return them promptly. Some are your professor's personal copies, others belong to the library. Your classmates will need to borrow them as well.

Late fees for Course Reserves are $1.00 per item per day with no grace period.
