"Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott has been chosen for the March book club meeting in Mary B. Blount Library.
Join us for a movie viewing of Greta Gerwig's 2019 adaptation on April 3rd at 5 p.m. Refreshments provided!
No sign-up required.
These open meetings will be held on the 1st floor of Blount Library in the cozy corner by the reference section. Should there be a collective decision to move the date, that is fine. We want to make sure the meeting time works best for the most amount of people possible. If you are interested in joining the meeting remotely via Zoom, please email jdross@averett.edu, and we will provide you with that information. Please reach out to Jessie via email or phone with any questions or concerns.
*Averett students, faculty, or staff: please reach out ASAP if you'd like to request a copy of the month's chosen book through interlibrary loan.

Hello! Welcome to the Mary B. Blount Library Book Club page. All are welcome! Just read the book and join the discussion whether in-person or remotely. This book club has been designed to provide Averett students, faculty, staff, and community members with an opportunity to share their love of literature with others. The purpose of the meetings will be to discuss the books in a very casual way. The more thoughtful opinions that can be brought to the table, the better. Within this club we will explore many different genres of literature including classics, fantasy, general fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Please navigate through these pages for more information, and direct any questions to Jessie Ross, jdross@averett.edu, 434-791-5636.
